Art Cart is Open Door’s monthly creative night—a relaxed evening where creativity meets community.
Pull up a chair, grab a drink, and spend a couple of hours making something with your hands. Whether you love collage, drawing, painting, or simply want a creative night out, Art Cart is designed to be approachable, social, and fun.
No experience is necessary. We’ll provide everything you need.
Come as you are. Leave with something you made.
What Is Art Cart?
Art Cart is a recurring monthly creative experience hosted by Open Door inside Oskar Blues Tasty Weasel in Longmont.
Once a month, we transform part of the taproom into a welcoming studio filled with thoughtfully curated art supplies, creative prompts, and people who simply want to spend an evening making something together.
Some people collage. Some paint. Some sketch. Some experiment with materials they’ve never used before. Others ignore the monthly prompt completely and follow their curiosity.
There’s no right way to Art Cart.
How It Works
- Reserve your spot online, or purchase a ticket at the door if space allows.
- Grab a complimentary drink and settle in.
- Choose the monthly creative prompt—or create whatever you’d like.
- Explore the Open Door Collage Bar and our collection of mixed-media supplies.
- Spend two relaxed hours creating alongside other curious people.
- Head home with artwork that’s uniquely yours.
Every Ticket Includes

- Paint markers, drawing supplies, decorative papers, and mixed-media materials
- An optional monthly creative prompt

Do I need art experience?
Not at all. Art Cart is designed for every experience level. Whether you’re picking up a paint marker for the first time or make art every week, you’ll fit right in.
What should I bring?
Nothing. We provide all of the creative materials. Just bring yourself.
Do I have to make the monthly project?
No. The monthly prompt is simply an invitation. You’re always welcome to create whatever inspires you using the supplies provided.
Is food available?
Yes. Oskar Blues Tasty Weasel offers food and additional beverages for purchase throughout the evening.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely. Many attendees do. Art Cart is intentionally designed to be welcoming, low-pressure, and easy to join on your own.
