Making Emotions Visible: Abstract Mixed Media - Existing Member

Step into an evening of creative release and exploration at our May event, held within a gallery exhibition titled Catharsis—a collection of abstract works that translate energy and emotion into something visual and tangible.

Surrounded by expressive, process-driven pieces from one of our own members, Mollie Jackson, this session invites you to tap into your inner landscape and translate it onto the pages of your visual journal. Through intuitive mark making, layering, collage, and mixed media techniques, you’ll create abstract compositions that are both deeply personal and visually compelling.

This class is designed to be both freeing and supportive. We’ll guide you through approachable methods for building rich, emotional artwork—no prior experience needed. Along the way, you’ll also take part in a collaborative activity that encourages connection, spontaneity, and shared creativity.

Come ready to experiment, let go of perfection, and discover new ways to express what words often can’t.
